Our users
The Older Persons Forum is for people aged 55 or over, who want to discuss any issues about how we can improve things for older people in their area. They are also welcome to come and just socialise, so that they do not feel isolated. The Forum provides members the opportunity of knowing what services or events are available in the community enabling members to make informed choices in general wellbeing, living standards and socialising.

About Us
The Forum meets once every 2 months; members talk to organisations that provide services for older people or Nottingham residents; such as Nottingham City Council, and Age UK. We also have guest speakers talking about issues and projects which hopefully interests the members, for instance we had guests deliver an oil painting class, advice about energy efficiency, grants for boilers and healthy living.
Members are very welcome to bring along any concerns or complaints they may have to the forum, and we'll look at how they can be tackled (If you do not want to share your issues with other members this can be addressed confidentially and privately away from the other members)
The Forum also provides useful information in the form of literature and signposting members to other organisations and sources of help. Meetings are friendly, relaxed and informal which include free refreshments.
